Professional Qualifications and Background
Karen is a solicitor and Head of Wills and Probate.
Karen studied Law at University College London, and completed the Legal Practice Course at the College of Law, Guildford. She joined a local Salisbury legal practice as a Trainee Solicitor in 1999 and continued to work there after qualifying as a solicitor in 2001. Karen joined Sampson Coward in 2014 to set up the Wills and Probate department.
Karen is a member of the Law Society and a member of The Society of Trust & Estate Practitioners (STEP), having studied for and obtained the STEP Diploma in Trusts and Estates. She is also an accredited member of 'Solicitors for the Elderly' (SFE) and a Dementia Friend in association with the Alzheimer’s Society.

Having practised in the Salisbury area since 2001 Karen has considerable experience. She advises on the protection of assets – including property and capital - for individuals during their lifetime as well as upon their death. Her expertise is in preparing wills and providing advice on inheritance tax, and she is a specialist in Probate and administering estates upon death. Karen also advises on Court of Protection and Lasting Powers of Attorney matters.
