Sampson Coward welcomes the Government’s decision to launch a consultation on removing the provision in the Equality Act 2010 which made employers liable for the harassment of their staff by a third party.

This would apply to situations where the employee has no control over a third party.  Some people have referred to the requirement as “unworkable”.
